Orthodontics

At The Tickled Tooth, we provide high-quality, personalized orthodontic care for everyone in the family. We’re passionate about creating beautiful, healthy smiles, focusing on both aesthetics and function to support your overall well-being.

Early Interceptive Treatment

Early intervention can save time, reduce costs, and prevent the need for more complex treatments. Proactive treatment not only addresses spacing and eruption issues but also promotes healthy facial growth, ensuring your teeth, jaw, and airway develop in harmony.

Traditional Braces

Traditional braces remain the gold standard and are an excellent choice for more complex cases. We offer both metal and clear ceramic braces, giving you the flexibility to choose the solution that best fits your aesthetic and functional needs.

WildSmiles Braces

At The Tickled Tooth, we believe your orthodontic journey should be just as enjoyable as it is effective. That’s why we offer WildSmiles Braces — customizable brackets in a variety of fun designs, from hearts and flowers to footballs, diamonds and Mickey Mouse, and more. These designer brackets bring style and personality to your orthodontic experience.

Clear Aligners

If you're looking for a more discreet option, clear aligners are a great alternative to traditional metal braces. These nearly invisible aligners are easily removable, making them comfortable and less disruptive to your daily routine.

Are braces painful?
Braces may cause some initial discomfort, but they are generally not painful. Patients often experience soreness, especially after adjustments. We provide helpful tips and techniques to ease discomfort and are always here to support you through the process.
The duration of treatment varies based on each individual case. On average, orthodontic treatment lasts between 12 to 36 months. Keep in mind, orthodontic treatment is a partnership, and compliance is key – noncompliance can affect the length of treatment.
Appointment frequency is personalized based on your unique treatment plan. For most patients, visits are scheduled every four to eight weeks. We understand life is busy, so with the latest technology, we’re able to align your teeth with fewer office visits.
Early intervention can help resolve significant problems and avoid more complex treatments. Once all permanent teeth have erupted, a full treatment plan may be recommended. In some cases, no further treatment may be needed.
Once your treatment begins, we’ll provide you with a full list of foods to avoid. Common foods include ice, hard candies, raw vegetables, and sticky foods like caramel and taffy. By following these simple guidelines, you can help prevent damage to your braces and minimize the need for an emergency visit.
While your dentist’s x-rays are helpful for checking for cavities, they may not provide all the information we need to evaluate your teeth, face, joints, and airway. We take a conservative approach and use low-radiation, digital x-rays that give us a more comprehensive view to ensure the best care.
Yes, regular visits to your dentist remain important throughout your orthodontic treatment. At times, additional dental care may be needed to maintain optimal oral health. We’re here to work with your dentist to ensure your overall well-being while we’re focused on your smile.

Once your treatment is complete, regularly wearing retainers is essential to maintain your smile.
